Apptronik

Building Scalable Humanoid Robots for the $40T Labor Market

RoboticsHumanoidsAIAutomation

With Google investing $150M, Apptronik has emerged as a major humanoid company. The company is building scalable, versatile humanoid robots capable of addressing labor shortages across various industries and disrupting the $40T labor market.

Apptronik's Apollo robot is a modular, scalable humanoid solution designed to meet diverse workforce demands. With advanced linear actuators, AI-driven learning systems, and swappable batteries enabling 24/7 operation, Apollo combines unmatched versatility, energy efficiency, and safety. Its adaptable design allows seamless deployment across logistics, retail, and healthcare industries.

Why We Invested

  • Strategic Google Partnership: Google invested $150M and allocated 100+ DeepMind engineers to work with Apptronik over several years. Google will build the robotics foundation model while Apptronik owns the hardware.
  • Massive Market Opportunity: By 2030, predictions indicate an 85M job shortage representing $8.5T in unrealized GDP. Humanoid robots can address labor shortages in repetitive, dangerous, or underserved roles.
  • Strong Traction: Secured LOIs for 6,900 units representing $521M+ in ARR. Commercial pilots underway with 13 industry leaders including Mercedes, NASA, DHL, Audi, NVIDIA, and Samsung.
  • Proven Team: Spun out of UT Austin's Human Centered Robotics Lab. CTO Nick Paine was instrumental in developing NASA's Valkyrie humanoid robot.

OUR INVESTMENTS

Portfolio Highlights

A selection of our strategic investments across semiconductors, robotics, AI, digital assets, and emerging technologies.

Semiconductors & Chips

Oxmiq Labs

Oxmiq Labs is rearchitecting the GPU full stack from 'Atoms to Agents' for next-generation multimodal AI. Led by Raja Koduri, a 25-year GPU veteran (ex-Intel, AMD, Apple), the company is building a unified GPU architecture that scales from edge AI to zetta-scale data centers. Backed by Intel, MediaTek, and Tenstorrent's Jim Keller.

Emerging Tech & Infrastructure

Voyager Space / Starlab

Voyager is building critical space infrastructure through Starlab, a next-generation commercial space station being developed with partners like Airbus, Mitsubishi, MDA Space, Palantis, and NASA support. We see Voyager as helping define the 'commercial LEO' era—where space becomes a place for continuous research, manufacturing, and tourism.
